What is the “Gospel” of Jesus Christ? What do we have to do to become a Christian? What makes someone a Christian? Do we have to go to church? Do we have to read the Bible? Do we have to do good deeds to be saved? What is the gospel?
If your life was a garden, how would you say that it is doing? Is it producing what you want in your life, or has life gotten away from you in some way. Jesus tells us we must abide in Him if we want our lives to be as fruitful as they can be.
All of us want life. We want a good life. Whether it is school, friends, marriage, work, sports, etc. – we want the best. The world is full of ideas on how to get life. Books, videos, podcasts, conferences. But God tells us the only way to true life and to Him is through Jesus.
The connection between fatherhood and our understanding of God is profound. It has been said that our relationship with God is impacted by our relationship with our earthly fathers, and that it can even affect our ability or inability to connect with God. God uses fatherhood throughout scripture to help us connect with Him.
