False Teachers

When we think of false teachers, we often think of people teaching false doctrine in the church. And while there are and have been false teachers in the church, there are many more in the classroom, and those may be the ones we should be the most concerned about when it comes to our children.

The Gospel in Exodus: God of Your Fathers

The connection between fatherhood and our understanding of God is profound. It has been said that our relationship with God is impacted by our relationship with our earthly fathers, sometimes dramatically, and that it can even affect our ability or inability to connect with God. God uses fatherhood throughout scripture to help us connect with…

Adultery and Greed

Adultery and greed are frequently linked as internal, heart-driven sins that defile a person and often signify a departure from God. About Me

Growing up Jewish, the extent of my knowledge about Jesus and Christianity was limited to what was on the rock album “Jesus Christ Superstar”. Becoming born again in college, that changed. Jesus showed up, and my life has never been the same. I thank God every day for bringing me into His kingdom, and write these blogs to remember what He has shown me and to share them with my four sons and others. My prayer for you is that you will be blessed by them, that God will become more real to you, and that your relationship with Him will become more profound as you grow in His grace.

Two Rivers

Just as the two rivers where we live come together and become one, so two spiritual rivers have come together and become one in our family. The first river is our Jewish heritage, bringing depth of understanding to the mysteries of God, lighting the way to knowing and understanding the Messiah. The second river is Christianity and our faith in Christ, through which the power, grace and Spirit of God is unleashed in our lives and we are born again to new life in Christ. Together they have become an unstoppable force, influencing our lives in everything we do, leading to the truth and the presence of God in our family. We live at the confluence of these two rivers. Two rivers, coming together into one.  Our Jewish heritage and our faith in Christ. Together they are a powerful force, changing the landscape of our lives forever.

How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers.  But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.  He will be like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers. (Pslam 1:1-3)
